JENS BONNKE

A German illustrator, Jens Bonnke has a way of working which  make the everyday editiorial illustration look new and interesting. Much editorial work is similar, block shapes, clip-art-esq etc. but Bonnke  manages to take simple images and make them look charming, as well as still transmitting the information effectively. Bonnke uses a lot of old and found materials and screenprints onto them to achieve his old-fashioned and worn look, I imagine that he also uses photoshop to get in some of the textures afterwards. I really enjoy screenprinting and whenever I find someone like this it always makes me want to get back into the print room.
